Orthopaedic Surgical Site Surveillance Lead,
Commenced his perioperative career in 1982 while serving in the Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service as the Falklands War began. In 1996, returned to his home cities, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) to become first UK Orthopaedic Surgical Care Practitioners trainee (SCP). In 2001 as a member of NNUH - DOH pilot site team, helped develop mandatory orthopaedic surgical site surveillance model. He remains orthopaedic lead and surveillance advocate! Immediate Past - President of the Association for Perioperative Practice: Lead theatre staff charity with over 7,000 members, aiming to enhance the quality of perioperative care and patient safety in the UK and overseas.
